Consent to Insolence

I do not know as my mind is rewinding
To the bits of sombre quantum
While the harlot played king
With insolent manner coming like the beat of a drum

I prefer the pretty maiden
To the shoulder that is ladden
I prefer the company of song
To the time before it is long

Empty Royal Halls

I had the details
So I chased my tails
I got lost when I asked
Past the pair who were masked

They showed no mercy
No reason to hurry
They painted these walls
Spaces they called empty halls

I've forgotten, I've forgotten
What the things would have meant
So rotten, so rotten
These things I have lent

Notes: Fear of loosing grip of what has happened and what did not.

Stainless Steel

Only that raging fire
Can bring this apart
Unless what you desire
Is to mend our hearts

Only forever
This should last
Not even the hammer
Can break the cast

For the truth is the hammer
With the help of raging fire
Over the course of then after
Shapes us to go higher

Notes: It's a friendship themed poem. Hope you take some time to ponder the meaning.

Hello Gaze

Look towards the stars
Tell me what you see my friend
The truth is not there

Do you see like me?
A gift the truth left behind
For humanity

Note: This poem is done in the style of Japanese poetry called Haiku. This style of poetry is quite interesting. For every stanza there are three lines. The first and third line have five syllables while the second has 7 syllables. Go ahead and count the syllables on mine.

Forgotten Title

It was trying so hard to go higher
Not giving up such a fighter
It had a white stripe and wings to try
But with all that will he couldn't fly

Why was it trying I did not know
No such presence of a single foe
On a day like this you were not trying
Unlike the bug, you were always flying

Note: I wrote this for my grandfathers' Birthday this year. Recited it on his Birthday Party and I have seemed to have forgotten the title. Hence the title of this poem.

Being Scared

I am scared
Knowing I dared
To confess this love
Thinking I'd be a dove

Thinking of what you think of me
I am scared
I just want to be made happy
How idiotic I dared

Call me what you used to
Tell me what to do
I'll do whatever you say
As long as they heal today

Notes: An old poem I never posted here. Just a simple Green Tinted Sixties Mind thought.

End of The Rainbow

Stupidity has a price
Just like broken lies
For you my rainbow
I call myself a sow

Do you remember,
of what we did together?
Holding a simple pen
I count till ten

I kept your stars
In empty jars
I kept that chalk
Through a far away walk

Today I cry
Tonight I die
Yesterday you cried
Even though I tried

Notes: Forever in my heart you are Rainbow. Saying sorry a million times I'm still a sow.

Pearl Dots

Your hair rings out in my affection
Your voice is an angry seduction
I go around the curves of red lipstick
The color that gives me a kick

They say you're so good yourself
But I am the one who makes you better
They say you're so full of yourself
But I am the one who makes you lesser

Notes: This short poem is the first poem I wrote directly on my laptop. I would like you to guess the item mentioned in this poem. I shall reveal the answer once I get about fifth-teen comments on this poem. Be my guest to make a guess
